After the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that might have been won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the player an opportunity to double their profits, in which case another round is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
