    Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be played in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, using an Internet connection. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to get the highest assemblage of cards possible in order to win cash. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

    The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will be "given out" on the video screen.

    The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now choose which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.

    After the player has chosen which cards he would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards are handed out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.

    Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can change from game to game, so that discerning gamblers are agile enough to select the most money-making game each and every time.

    Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the gambler a chance to increase their winnings, in which instance a further round is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
