• Learning Play Electronic Poker

Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be wagered on in casinos across the world, or alternatively at your house on your computer, through a net connection. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to achieve the highest combination of cards achievable in order to come away with money. In this respect it’s very similar as a normal game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.

The game of Video Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A hand of five cards will be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers should now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the player has chosen which cards he or she would like to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be dealt. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that discerning players are agile enough to choose the most money-making game each time.

As soon as the first round has played out, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the gambler an opportunity to increase their wins, in which instance a further round is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
