• General Jacks or Better Electronic Poker Strategy

Video Poker is a casino game of talent – and using the easy combination of wagering method and mathematical understanding, could be beat. Take note of the "pay schedule" shown on the front of each machine, and look particularly at the most important data – how much the machine will pay out for a Full-House versus a Flush.

An advanced electronic-poker player will also realise that a "Jacks-or-Better" device – classed as a nine/six machine for paying out 9 coins: one for just about every Full House and six: 1 for every single Flush, can be beaten using excellent Basic Video-Poker Strategy. Another machine offering the advanced electronic poker player an edge is the ten/six Deuces Wild device. These odds have been proven as a result of personal computer modelling. For the other machines – even if a player plays the Perfect Electronic Poker Strategy game, he will still not win, though will have fun playing!

You’ll find set rules defining Basic Video Poker Technique regardless of whether betting online or in a casino – a lot like the Basic Technique for Black jack,

    Jacks-or-Better Electronic-Poker Technique

    • In any hand holding a Jack, unless the hand is already a winner! – four to an open-ended Straight, four with a Flush or 3 with a Straight Flush or Royal Flush – reject all cards only keeping the Jack
    • In any hand with only 1 card Jack or above, maintain the individual high card and refuse all other cards and redraw.
    • In any hand having 1 pair less than than Jacks, keep the pair and reject all other cards – unless the hand is four to some Straight or four into a Flush
    • In any hand having a two-pair, maintain both pair and reject the odd-card.
    • In any hand with three-of-a-kind hold the three-of-a-kind and refuse the other 2 cards.
    • In any hand holding 4 into a Straight, hold all 4 Straight cards and re-draw – unless the Straight draw isn’t open-ended and the hand is having a Jack)
    • In any hand holding four to a Flush, hold the 4 Flush – unless the hand holds 3 to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal Flush
    • In any hand with 4-of-a-kind, hold anything since a 1-card draw will not improve the cards.
    • In any hand with three into a Royal Flush, refuse anything else and go for that Royal – unless of course the hand is already a Sraight Flush!

Practice these techniques whist betting – perhaps even use to refer to the Basic Electronic-Poker methods until they become 2nd nature. Go on …acquire the ability and hit those video poker machines!
