Electronic Poker is a popular game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos all over the globe, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through a web account. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to get the highest assemblage of cards as you can in order to come away with cash. In this respect it is very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. The game of Video Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will then be "dealt" on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.

After the player has decided on which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards will be needed they will be dealt. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that discerning bettors are agile enough to choose the most beneficial ones every instance.

Once the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on and try to to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that might been won. Additionally, several versions of the game allow the player an opportunity to increase their profits, in which case another round is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying aspects to enhance playability.
